Other attacks leave one in awe of the growing disregard for life as seen when an 18-year-old man was arrested after killing his parents’ landlady, her daughters and grand-children. Amazingly this boy burnt the house and reported himself to the police. It was also reported that scores of people in Enugu lost their lives to attacks by Fulani herdsmen. Cult killings were witnessed in large figures. These killings were witnessed across the nation.

The spate of kidnap in the society took yet another turn as politicians and clerics were mostly target victims. Some top business men and the elite suffered same fate. The kidnappers of a reverend father have demanded a ransom of N25 Million for his release while investigations by the police remains in progress. The police have given the assurance that they would make sure that the kidnapped victims are rescued and that the perpetrators would be apprehended. This was witnessed more in the south-west and north-central region of the country.
