Review/Analysis

Terrorism remains top on the list of major incidents in the country with the northern part of the country being the target area.

Robbery, murder, kidnap and other crime activities remains rampant in the country as individuals, corporate bodies and institutions are being attacked daily. Cases like fire outbreak, accidents, and communal crises are also on the rise. More of these incidents are recorded in the south-west and south-south part of the country.

Corporate bodies and individuals are advised to be security conscious and to take cognisance of their environment. Individuals are advised to be their neighbours’ keepers, disallow unknown faces and strangers into their homes under any guise. We are further advised to exercise caution when receiving gifts during this yuletide as criminals become desperate in carrying out their nefarious activities. The public should be wary of strange faces in and around their neighbourhood, and quickly report to the authorities any slight threat observed as such could prompt an investigation and prevent threats from becoming incidents.
