Review/Analysis

Robbery/gang related cases remains top on the watch list for the authorities as more of these incidents are becoming very rampant across the country particularly with the south-western part of the country having more records of these incidents and trickles in the south-south region. This may be attributed to the yuletide.

Terrorism activities also remain high as the Federal Government battles the terrorist sect, Boko Haram and attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen/mercenaries in some northern states.  Hostage, Kidnap and Murder incidents are also on the increase in the south-west and the south-south. The targets remain random from the rich to the political class.

A review of these incidents, calls for adequate security alertness from individuals and corporate bodies. We are constantly advised to be security conscious; taking cognisance of our environment and promptly reporting any threat or unusual movements observed to the relevant authorities.
